GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: BMW Championship at Conway Farms

The BMW championship is all about placement. For players with an outside chance of making it to East Lake, they need to place in the top 5-10 to get enough points to move ahead in the rankings. For players already near the top of the FedEx rankings, they need to focus on getting into, or staying in, the top 5 heading into next week. Either way, there may be some players on tilt this week as they look to make the final push heading into the Championship. Should be a great weekend of golf!

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston

JASON DAY! This guy has been putting on a clinic at the end of the season and we think we speak for everyone when we say it’s been amazing to watch. The next Playoff event is the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston. Tune in for some high quality golf as the players try to get into the top 70 for the BMW Championship next week.

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: The Barclays at Plainfield Country Club

The PGA Tour regular season has come to a close as the first FedEx Cup playoff event gets underway this week at The Barclays. While Tiger’s strong showing Thursday through Saturday was not enough to get him into the field of 125, we’ll still have the world’s best this week in Edison, NJ. The par-70 golf course should provide a solid test of golf for the pros.

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: Wyndham Championship

GolfMatch got it right again last week as we rode our Jason Day pick across the finish line on Sunday. What a performance, and what a tournament. America is back on top of the world golf rankings, and if that doesn’t get you excited maybe you’re not American. Moving on…this week brings Tiger back onto the course after he missed his 3rd straight cut at a major – a feat that most other ‘greats’ didn’t do until they got their AARP cards. The storylines and fireworks likely won’t live up to last weekend’s magic, but it’s an important weekend none-the-less. Enjoy!

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: PGA Championship at Whistling Straits

This week is a bittersweet one for golf fans as the fourth and final major of the season will kick off. The PGA Championship may be the least publicized major of the year, but it most certainly is not the least exciting. This year the championship will be held on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, WI at Whistling Straits. The par-72, 7,500-yard classic Pete Dye-design is a challenging links course through and through.

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: WGC-Bridgestone Invitational- Firestone Country Club

The Bridgestone Invitational brings the PGA Tour to Akron, Ohio for one of the toughest events of the season. The course measures a meaty 7,400 yards, making it the longest par-70 golf course on the schedule. Hole #16 is the longest hole on Tour at an astounding 667 yards. Long hitters should have the advantage in what will likely be a very entertaining tournament with the best players in the world coming to Ohio!

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: Quicken Loans National – Robert Trent Jones Golf Club

This week we head to Gainesville, Virginia for the Quicken Loans National at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. While this is the first PGA Tour event to be held at the course, it has served as host of the Presidents Cup several times in recent history. Two-time champion and tournament host, Tiger Woods, will be in the field this week. We’ll see if he can bounce back from a disappointing Open Championship two weeks ago.

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: The Open – The Old Course at St. Andrews

Professional golf is entering a fascinating chapter of its history, and we’re all lucky to be a part of it. The fact that Rory is out this week is a major blow to the championship, but there are certainly plenty of other wonderful storylines to look forward to this weekend. The weather looks awfully Scottish-esque and that should make for some really interesting golf. Hope you’re ready for some early mornings. Good luck!

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: John Deere Classic – TPC Deere Run

Birdies! Eagles! And Albatrosses – oh my! If you’re a bird lover this is likely your favorite tournament of the year. There are some clear favorites as usual (ZJ, Stricks, Spieth), but either way the winner will need to go low for 4 days and everyone else better be a few under par by Friday afternoon if they plan to play the weekend.

GolfMatch Fantasy Forecast: The Greenbrier Classic

What a great playoff finish last week at the Travelers Championship, congrats Bubba! This week we have the Greenbrier Classic on the Old White TPC in Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The players should be able to go low on this 7,287 yard-course. Strong ball strikers should really be able to take advantage and put up great scores on one of the easier par-70s on the Tour’s schedule. Perhaps we will see someone make a run at that elusive score of 59!
